Tentang Kami
Lembaga Keuangan Syariah Menengah Kecil dan Miro (LKS-MKM) merupakan lembaga keuangan yang menjalankan usahanya berdasarkan prinsip syariah, yakni tidak mengandung unsur yang dilarang syariat seperti unsur gharar, maysiir dan riba. Agar LKS-MKM komitmen dan konsisten terhadap prinsip syariah Islam dalam operasionalnya, maka dibentuklah Badan Pengawas Syariah (BPS), namun lembaga tersebut masih memiliki keterbatasan dalam menjalankan tugasnya secara efektif dan transparan sehingga berdampak pada kurangnya kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap LKS-MKM.
Sistem pengendalian internal (SPI) juga diperlukan oleh LKS-MKM untuk menjaga kekayaan, mencapai efektifitas, efisiensi dan ekonomisnya operasional, serta dipatuhinya berbagai kebijakan yang telah ditetapkan. Namun dalam praktiknya masih menunjukkan adanya kelemahan atau belum efektifnya penerapan sistem pengendalian internal, belum efektifnya kebijakan-kebijakan dan sistem operasional, baik dalam level organisasi maupun individu, sehingga berdampak masih terjadinya kecurangan-kecurangan di lembaga keuangan syariah.
Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap LKS-MKM dan meningkatkan efektifitas penerapan SPI adalah dengan menerapkan sebuah aplikasi yang dapat menyajikan informasi kinerja dari seluruh aspek kegiatan LKS-MKM secara transparan.
SIAM - SYARIAH merupakan aplikasi transparansi kinerja yang terintegrasi yang dapat digunakan sebagai suatu sistem informasi operasional, sistem informasi kinerja, dan sistem informasi pengendalian LKS-MKM. Sistem informasi operasional berguna untuk mengelola data dan transaksi dari semua aspek kegiatan LKS-MKM, baik kegiatan operasional, pendanaan dan pembiayaan. Sistem informasi kinerja berguna untuk menyajikan informasi secara transparan semua aspek kegiatan LKS-MKM baik untuk kepentingan internal maupun eksternal. Sedangkan sistem informasi pengendalian berguna bagi Badan Pengawas Syariah (BPS), manajemen, auditor, dan pemangku kepentingan lainnya untuk menjalankan fungsinya masing-masing.
